INQUIRY-TERM 3
For Inquiry this term our topic is about Economics and Geography. All of us 5/6's have to complete an Inquiry booklet by the end of this term. It's sought of like a project. We have to choose a country and write about it's Geography. I choe Vanuatu. I chose this country because I know nothing about it which means I'll get to learn new information and I also want to go and visit there sometimes. Date: 17/7/10 What I want to know about Vanuatu:~What is the population in Vanuatu?~Whats the landmass?~How does tha flag look like and what do the coulors represent?~What are the islands in Vanuatu?~What is Vanuatu's territory?~Does Vanuatu have states? If yes what?~Where is it located?~What kinds of languages are spoken in Vanuatu?~What's teh currency?~What's the climate in VANUATU?Today in Inquiry I just continued on writing facts about Vanuatu like: The distance form the equator and north/south poles, the continent it lies in, marking it's longitude and latitude, marking it's NSEW bearings, the oceans and countries surrounding it, and labeling my country and colouring in my country. I also worked on printing multiple versions of the same map of my country. For one of the maps I have write Vanuatu's density population, the other map it's urban/forested/farming/desert/other landscapes, on the third map I have to record an annual rainfall, an the last map I have to write the measurements/scale of my country from sea level. Date: 19/8/10 In inquiry today we worked on our Inquiry projects. The mapping section and exporting/importing section is due this Friday, but I harldy have completed any bits because on the internet it doesn't show a density population of Vanutu, which is very irritating. So tommorow I'm going to ask Miss Mattiacci for some help. (: Date: 23/8/10 For our inquiry expo we have to make up our own countries that include that latitude and longitude lines, how far it is away from the Equator, currency, major imports and exports, the oceans surrounding it, the continent it lies in, population, landscapes and the NSEW bearings. I've decided to name my country Ligea and I've completed all the things that was supposed to be done, and I've decided to present my inquiry project on a poster. I feel very proud of myself because I have completed my project and personally I think it looks great and hopefully when we have our expo students will make good feedbacks or complements about my inquiry project.
